    LEAD VOCALIST

WANDA WATSON Lead Vocalist   Go to Album
Very rarely will you find an entertainer whose style and charisma matches their talent or vice-versa. Wanda Watson delivers on both counts. Hard charging and aggressive on one song; tender and emotionally sincere on the next, Wanda makes every song her own.

Any of her devoted fans will tell you her performances make every audience member feel that she is there for them and them alone.  She is a definitive blues artist. In a city noted for its top-shelf musicians and singers, Wanda stands out as a true stylist. Whether putting her stamp on original songs or belting out time tested standards, Wanda is a consummate entertainer and crowd pleaser.  No other singer gives such emotional and gutsy performances…as her faithful and reverent fans will attest. Expect to be WOWED!

In the late 60’s & early 70’s he had a 3 year stretch with a band known as “The Henchmen.”   In 1975 he took a break from playing music moving to Salt Lake City, only to find his way back to the Tulsa scene in 1980, where he began playing with a Tulsa icon by the name of “Brad Absher & The Metro Blues Band.” He joined forces with other bands along the way; “Jumpstart,” “Nighflight,” “Witz End,” and “Zen Okies,” all during this time in his life.

    GUITAR & VOCALS

FRANK RAY Guitar & Vocals   Go to Album
Frank has been playing blues and rock guitar in and around Tulsa; as well as, the surrounding areas since 1980. He started out in a little country band that didn’t last very long back in 1980, but it wasn’t long and he found his nitch and an audience for it, playing through the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s at popular nightspots in Tulsa, such as Joey’s Home of the Blues and Sunset Grill.
Within these years he had the privilege to participate in many memorable occasions such as the very first “live” broadcast of John Henry’s “Smokehouse Blues” radio program, recording from Joey’s. He’s been a consistent staple at the first of 23 Rentiesville Blues Festivals and most of them since.

 BAND REVIEWS

"I think this gal is great!" Jim Halsey, Music Business Impresario; Mgr., Oak Ridge Boys

The best of two worlds...the rawness of a natural born blues singer with a colorful past and the polish of a maturing talent...delivers everytime". Ronnie Bravo, Austin Chronicle

“A great big heart with a voice to match…sings the blues with passion, authority”  Linda Suebold, Southwest Times Record

“A deep-down, soul-touching, blues/rock singer (with a) hard-driving style and from-the-gut voice”  Terrell Lester, OKmagazine

“Get ready for a professional, high energy, foot stomping, hand clapping, soul shaking night of some of the best music anywhere!”
Joey Secora, owner of Joey’s, ‘Tulsa’s Home of the Blues’

“Wanda Watson has got to be the best thing to happen to music since Les Paul ran an electric cable through a hookup in a hollow-body guitar”. Todd Webb, Uptown News

“Wanda Watson is a warrior and a magician. She has traveled that long, lonesome road and gained great wisdom along the way. She has survived the dark night of the soul and come out smiling. She sees the world from the highest mountain, with her feet firmly on the ground. Though she seems to be a maniac, she is legally sane and has the papers to prove it.
Her laugh can make trees bloom in a blizzard.”  Jim Downing, "Tulsa Entertainment Writer"
