Jim Summerlin's Album

JIM SUMMERLIN Bass & Vocals
Jim has been playing electric and double bass for nearly 40 yrs. He has played a wide variety of music from straight ahead jazz, country, progressive rock, to settling down with the blues. During his stint playing jazz, Jim shared the stage with the likes of Hall of Fame musician “Ed Shaughnessy & The Condoli Brothers” from the “Tonight Show” and Jazz Percussionist great “Louie Bellson.” Shortly after moving to Tulsa in 1989, Jim joined a Little Feat style of band called “Bad Reputation” shortly thereafter changing the name to “The Style Kings” that played around the Tulsa/Bartlesville areas; they had the great opportunity to open for “Rare Earth.” He moved on to play with his good friend “Billy Jack” until his untimely death in 2003.
